Balances and the wagering base

Deposit funds and bonus or restricted funds may have different withdrawal conditions. Check which balance pays a stake and where winnings are credited. Wagering is a requirement to place a stated total of qualifying bets before specified funds become withdrawable. The multiplier needs a base: bonus only, deposit only, or deposit plus bonus.

The UK Gambling Commission's glossary (English) provides useful definitions. Its rules have a UK scope; this guide does not establish the same legal protections for an overseas product.

A hypothetical calculation

The following is an arithmetic example, not an operator offer, a recommended deposit or a profit forecast. Assume a deposit of 100 units, a bonus of 100 units, a 10× requirement and 100% game contribution.

Hypothetical base Calculation Qualifying turnover
Bonus only 100 × 10 1,000 units
Deposit plus bonus (100 + 100) × 10 2,000 units

Turnover is the amount of qualifying stakes counted, not the money guaranteed to remain afterwards. The same 10× label gives different totals because the bases differ. These two examples do not account for any real promotion's restrictions or results.

Read the conditions as a set

Use the offer's complete terms to answer these questions:

  • Who is eligible, in which product and market, and how is the offer activated?
  • What amount, asset, minimum deposit and cap apply?
  • Which balance and base are used for wagering?
  • Which games contribute, at what rate, and which games are excluded?
  • What is the maximum bet, and do feature purchases or combined stakes count towards it?
  • When does claiming or wagering expire, and what happens to balances then?
  • Is there a dedicated maximum cashout, and what does it apply to?
  • What happens if the bonus is cancelled or a withdrawal is requested early?

A game can count only partly or not at all. A deadline and a maximum bet can change the practical commitment even when the headline multiplier looks identical. An unspecified cashout cap is not evidence of unlimited withdrawal. The Commission's transparency guidance (English) explains why headline information and significant conditions need to be read together.

Separate the withdrawal conditions

Deposit turnover concerns deposited funds; bonus wagering concerns the specified promotional balance. A withdrawal limit controls how much can be withdrawn in a period. A general win or profit cap has a different scope. Do not replace one with another when comparing terms.

For a crypto transfer, check the asset, network and direction. An operator charge and a network charge answer different questions; identity checks and operator processing are also separate from blockchain confirmations. Use applicable current terms for each step. An operator's published processing description is not a measured payout time.

Before accepting an offer

Locate the complete applicable terms, understand the calculation and decide whether the conditions suit your own choice to participate. If a key condition is unclear, leave that part unverified rather than filling it with a favourable assumption. There is no requirement to take a bonus or to gamble.

Qualifying turnover does not remove the house edge or guarantee a win. RTP and house edge explains the mathematical distinction; gambling risks and support provides a separate route to help. Compare the product information for navigation to the individual reviews; their current offer status must be read in its own context.
